FxPro Victorious Partnership: McLaren Takes 1-2 Win in Italian Grand Prix

Australian McLaren driver Daniel Riccardo took 1st place at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Italy on September 12th, 2021.

In second place is another race driver of the winning team, Lando Norris. This enormous success allowed McLaren to get back to winning ways and jump further ahead of their main rivals Ferrari.

Riccardo's victory was McLaren's first since 2012, while the team's last double was in 2010.

For Daniel Riccardo himself, the victory at the Italian Grand Prix was the first since 2018. That season, this fearless Australian won the Chinese Formula 1 GP and the one in Monaco.

At the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, Riccardo seized the lead early at the start of the race, ahead of Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen in acceleration to the first corner. He also achieved the fastest lap, gaining an extra point for the team, who now sit 3rd in the constructors' championship.
